Studio A | |

Studio A has undergone a further upgrade! Now based around the fabulous Mackie Digital 8 Bus fully automated console, Studio A is now fully operational. The D8b boasts 48 flying fader channels, each with onboard dynamics processors and a choice of mackie or classic British eq. We have now installed the full SSL 4000E/G plug in suite across all channels giving us full SSL quality on both input and output. The console is connected to a 24 track hard disc recorder and/or dedicated computer system running Pro Tools 8 & Cubase 5. The system offers 48 simultaneous tracks of recording and up to 128 audio tracks at mixdown. Everything in the chain is sync'd via Apogee word clock and everything remains in the digital domain. Our range of plugins and virtual instruments is extensive and high quality. We also carry acoustic drums by DW, Signia, the latest Roland V Drums, Guitars and basses by Fender, various keyboards and other goodies. Our outboard is by Lexicon, Alesis, Behringer and Drawmer, Mic's by AKG, SE, Shure, Behringer, Audio Technica. Monitoring in the control room is handled by Yamaha HS, Tannoy and Court systems. The live area, which doubles as our rehearsal room, is a comfortable 400 square feet and easily accomodates live bands up to 7 piece, seated acoustic players (dance bands, string orchestra etc) up to 12. One of our regular clients is a 30 strong choir who are easily accommodated in the light and airy room. Both control and live rooms have natural day light. Whether you are looking to create a demo or full 'release quality' product, you will find it difficult to beat the value offered by this family owned and run facility.
